NOMINATION PHASE - July 16, 2024 - August 16, 2024 at 10:00 pm

     The awards process begins with an open nomination phase where community members are invited to nominate individuals, organizations, and businesses they believe deserve recognition in each category. This phase will lasts for until August 16, 2024 at 10:00 pm to allow sufficient time for nominations to be submitted and reviewed.

 

 FIRST ROUND VOTING: August 19, 2024 - September 16, 2024 at 10:00 pm

      Once the nomination phase concludes, all valid nominations are compiled and reviewed to ensure eligibility. The top three nominees in each category are then announced, and a voting period opens to the public.  Community members are encouraged to vote for their favorites among the nominees in each category.  This phase will last until September 16, 2024 at 10:00 pm.

 

SELECTION OF WINNERS:  September 17, 2024 

     After the voting period ends, the votes are tallied, and the nominee with the highest number of votes in each category is selected as the winner. In the event of a tie co-winner will be selected.

 

THE INAUGURAL PEE DEE AWARDS RECEPTION: September 20, 2024 

     The culminating event is the awards reception, scheduled for Friday, 20 September, at the Southeastern Manufacturing Technology on Florence Darlington Technical College at 7:00 pm.   At this reception, all winners of The Inaugural Pee Dee Neighborhood Awards are announced and recognized.The reception serves as a celebratory event where winners receive their awards, and their achievements are highlighted in front of attendees, which typically include nominees, sponsors, community leaders, and the general public.

 

RECOGNITION AND FOLLOW UP:

     Post-event, winners are further recognized through media coverage, social media announcements, and community newsletters to amplify their achievements and contributions.Feedback from participants and attendees is gathered to evaluate the success of the awards and plan for future editions, ensuring continuous improvement and community engagement.

 

    By following this structured process, The Inaugural Pee Dee Neighborhood Awards aim to celebrate the diversity, innovation, and community spirit of the Pee Dee region, while also encouraging ongoing excellence and collaboration among local businesses, organizations, and individuals.
